Kia ora whānau,

Wow! how are we already half way through the term!?

Well done to those that were entered into the school swimming sports.

What's on this week:

Thursday: Fish & Chips, please order via KINDO

Things you need to know:

  • GALA- As you are aware, Tūhura families are asked to contribute to the bake sale. Please read carefully the email that was sent from the PTA early this week to see where else you can help.
  • TRYATHLON- notices were given out on Thursday. These need to be completed and returned to school by Monday. Please note that this is a school event and everyone is expected to take part. We will be having a bike practise on Thursday, so if you want you child to take part in this, please bring their bike and helmet on this day.
  • We have a literacy meeting on Wednesday 13 March for all year 1-4 parents to talk about our new approach to literacy. This will be after school at 3:15pm and Marina from RTLit will be here to explain this programme and answer any questions you may have. This will be held in Tūhura.

Week 5

Kia ora whānau

Week 5 is upon us already, not sure how this happened.

So what's happening this week:

  • Senior school swimming sports Tuesday starting from 9am. We have some year 4's taking part, if this is your child they would have already bought a notice home.We will send an email home just to confirm times for those parents.
  • Term one goals have been uploaded to seesaw.
  • Many staff will be absent on Tuesday afternoon as we will be attending the sad funeral of Sarah Blair, one of our dear Mum's here at Clarkville, who sadly passed away on Tuesday.

Please note that the team spaces are not open for learning until 8:30 each morning. Often staff have meetings and are not available to supervise children.
